EMPLOYMENT OFFICE

The Employment Office has a broad area of responsibility including individual and family care, labor market initiatives, adult education, municipal activity responsibility, and integration. Our work is based on a holistic view, participation, and individual responsibility. Through our support, care, and treatment initiatives, we aim to strengthen people's ability to change and increase independence.

The office consists of five units: Children and Family, Support and Treatment, Adults, Reception and Guidance, and Quality and Operational Support.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a real difference in adults' lives? As a study and career counselor within municipal adult education, you play a key role in supporting adults towards new opportunities, increased competence, and a stronger establishment in the labor market.

Our operations do not conduct their own education but collaborate with several municipalities in the region to meet the needs of residents. This gives you a varied and developing role with broad contact areas and a good opportunity to influence the quality of the counseling work.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Providing professional, equivalent, and individualized study and career guidance to adults
• Supporting students in making well-founded choices based on goals, life situations, and labor market needs
• Informing and guiding about educational paths, eligibility, study financing, and regulations
• Collaborating closely with other municipalities, educational providers, and internal functions
• Following up on studies and contributing to sustainable study plans
• Documenting counseling efforts in accessible digital systems
• Actively contributing to the development and quality assurance of the municipality's study guidance for adults

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in study and career counseling with good knowledge of municipal adult education and the Swedish education system. You thrive in meeting different types of people and have a coaching and professional approach. You work independently, structured, with high legal certainty and very good communication skills. The role also involves actively contributing to the development of working methods and routines. We value flexibility, initiative, and a creative mindset to continuously develop guidance based on adults' needs and the organization's mission.

It is an advantage if you also:

• Have experience working in municipal operations
• Have experience working in adult education and SFI
• Have worked with collaboration between municipalities and external educational providers
• Have good knowledge of the regional labor market
